Job Summary
Conduct routine in-vitro ADME assays, including metabolism studies for discovery and development compounds, while actively participating in experimental design and troubleshooting. Perform experiments, critically analyze and interpret data to design next steps, and manage multiple high-impact projects to meet client timelines. Establish new ADME assays, contribute to continuous improvement of current protocols, and guide junior scientists. Assist in data analysis, laboratory support, equipment calibration, and robotic system maintenance. Perform quality reviews of peer data and ensure adherence to the Quality System. Collaborate with Project Managers to meet client requirements.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a scientific relevant field
- Experience in contract research organizations
- Experience in pharmaceutical industries
- Experience in academia
- Industry/academic experience in DM/PK
- Strong record of scientific achievement
- Experience in drug discovery/development
- Broad understanding of ADME
- Knowledge of in vitro drug metabolism
- Knowledge of DDI
- Knowledge of bioanalytical sciences including LC-MS/MS
- Knowledge of GC-MS
- Knowledge of biotransformation
- Knowledge of physical organic chemistry
- Experience in cell based or biochemical assays
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Knowledge and proficiency with Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with peers and all levels of management
- Ability to manage time
- Ability to work independently
- Ph.D. preferred
- Masters with 6 years plus experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
