Job Summary
Senior Scientist leading and directing new product development projects in a magnetic beads portfolio, applying deep expertise in bead chemistry and assay component interactions (notably CLIA), evaluating reagents, surfaces, buffers, and biological matrices for performance, reproducibility, and scalability. Provide scientific leadership within cross-functional R&D teams, shaping experimental strategy, data interpretation, and technical problem solving to meet performance and development milestones. Translate complex scientific data and risks into clear insights for diverse stakeholders, and collaborate with customers to solicit feedback and drive cross-functional customer-support initiatives. 5+ years of research experience with PhD or equivalent preferred; track record of product launches; strong problem-solving, teamwork, and strategic planning abilities; experience with material-property–performance correlations (PCR, CLIA, NAP, CE); interest in applying AI tools to optimize development work; willingness to travel up to 10%. This on-site role is located in Cardiff, UK, and Cytiva/danaher emphasize flexible remote work arrangements for eligible roles.
