Job Summary
Lead R&D and technical service experimental projects in the Reservoir Recovery Laboratory, overseeing lab-based experimentation under reservoir conditions, designing improvements to equipment, and delivering data explanations to P&O/G&LCE stakeholders. Responsibilities include measuring and QA of laboratory data with advanced equipment, ensuring safety compliance and Control of Work, developing new lab methods, and reporting findings to project leaders and stakeholders. Requires at least five years of hands-on laboratory experience, expertise in SCAL, and a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering or relevant science (or equivalent experience). Travel up to 10% and relocation within country may be needed; role is hybrid with some office and remote work in Bangalore, India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or relevant science, or equivalent experience
- Five years of strong laboratory-based scientific experience, including expertise in SCAL and reservoir-condition experiments
- Proven hands-on laboratory experience in study planning, execution, and reporting
- Strong knowledge of safety requirements and laboratory safety processes
- Experience with customized technical software for recording and assessing results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
