Job Summary
Senior SCADA Engineer responsible for leading design, integration, and commissioning of SCADA systems across solar farms, BESS, substations, and transmission infrastructure; develop SCADA architectures, configure RTUs/PLCs/HMIs, manage protocols (DNP3, IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC), support FAT/SAT/commissioning, interface with clients/OEMs/service providers, ensure compliance with Australian standards; mentorship of junior engineers; emphasis on cross-disciplinary teamwork and delivering high-performance control and monitoring systems for EPC projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in SCADA engineering with energy, utilities, or infrastructure
- Strong experience with substation SCADA systems (essential)
- Exposure to solar and/or BESS project (highly advantageous)
- Proven experience with RTUs, PLCs, and SCADA platforms (e.g. Schneider, Siemens, GE, ABB)
- Solid understanding of IEC 61850 and industrial communication protocols
- Experience in commissioning and live site environments
- Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
