Job Summary
Develop standard and custom SAP applications for Travel, CP, MM, and Asset Management systems, including designing, coding, reviewing, and testing while adhering to strict bank coding standards. Write low-level design documents, unit test plans, and case documentation, then assist in integration and user acceptance testing. Optimize code and maintain custom SAP objects like screens, RFCs, BAPIs, and reports across FI, CO, and MM modules. Perform Dev to QA and QA to Prod migrations, manage transport logs, and coordinate day-to-day communication between the Chennai team and HQ. Assist in documentation for EA/OIS clearance. This long-term contractor role requires fluent English and 5+ years of SAP ABAP experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree
- +5/+8 years of hands-on experience
- IT experience with SAP ABAP/4 programming
- Experience in writing Programs/interfaces between SAP and legacy systems, including data migration, data validation, and data conversion
- Experience with ABAP/4 Query, ALV, and Report Writer and Report Painter tools
- Experience with BAPI and RFC technology
- Technical experience with FI (Asset Module, General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger), Controlling, Budgeting, and Funds Management and Materials Management modules of SAP
- Experience in Function Modules, RFC, Reports, BDCs, SMARTFORMS, BAPI, User Exits & Enhancements, and Unicode based programming
- Good understanding of the following: database tables used in Travel FI, AM, CO, FM, and MM modules
- Hands-on SAP ABAP code optimization techniques
- Ability to design and develop complex SAP objects, including module pool
- Sound knowledge in SAP web service implementation
- Solid knowledge in the development and testing methodologies and quality practices
- Strong communication skills and hands on experience in analyzing user requirements and writing technical specifications
- Fluent in English
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Interface knowledge with SAP Components like PI, BI and external web applications
- Exposure to SAP Fiori – UX, Personas
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
