Job Summary
Senior SAP BW Developer role in the BAS Tribe at a leading global financial services technology provider. Responsibilities include reviewing, validating, and approving technical designs, code changes, and transport strategies; identifying technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security concerns with mitigation; ensuring audit, security, and regulatory compliance from development; collaborating with functional leads, product owners, and testing teams; supporting BAU and project delivery, and contributing to onboarding, knowledge transfer, and documentation initiatives. Required skills include SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA DB, ABAP for BW, BW modeling tools, ETL and data warehousing concepts, and familiarity with Agile delivery; desirable knowledge of MicroStrategy and SAC; strong communication and problem-solving abilities; and experience across SAP landscapes and multi-environment transport and release processes.
Required Qualifications
- Typically, 8–10 years of professional software development experience in enterprise environments.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without authority and along with high sense of ownership, accountability, and quality focus.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA DB with hands-on with Eclipse BW Modeling Tools, data warehousing concept like ETL, LSA++
- Strong hands-on knowledge on ABAP related to BW (ex: AMDP, Routines, Extraction logic, enhancement etc.)
- Good to have knowledge on reporting tool like MicroStrategy, SAC
- Strong experience working in Agile delivery models within controlled enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of SAP system landscapes, multi‐environment transport management, and release processes.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Strong experience working in BAU and project‐based delivery models.
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non‐technical stakeholders.
