Job Summary

Manage and grow the Chicago South territory within Xylem's Light Industry division by specifying and selling tailored water treatment solutions with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance services. Maintain and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients through on-site visits, while conducting product demonstrations, presentations, and cold calling to generate leads and expand the client base. Collaborate with the marketing team to implement sales strategies, research industry trends, and track performance using CRM tools for forecasting and SIOP planning. Set and achieve sales targets, mentor junior team members, and act as a liaison to ensure client satisfaction and drive year-over-year business growth.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field
  • at least 5 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts
  • Previous experience as a Business Development Specialist in a related industry
  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, such as NetSuite and Odoo
  • Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • This person will be required to live in the territory
  • This person will be required to go into the branch office as needed
