Senior Sales Engineer - Puppet (NK)

Job Summary
Senior Sales Engineer collaborating with Account Executives to own technical sales efforts within accounts. Responsibilities include conducting extensive discovery to understand customer objectives, tailoring Puppet-focused solutions to business needs, delivering presentations, demos, workshops, and POC trials that demonstrate ROI, and acting as a technical liaison across Marketing, Product, Support, and Professional Services. Candidates should maintain hands-on knowledge of Puppet products, help customers quantify value at technical and business levels, and guide adoption of configuration management practices in customer environments. Required skills include 3+ years in a customer-facing role (preferably pre-sales), ability to engage with executives and cross-functional teams, strong communication, and hands-on experience across infrastructure automation, scripting, cloud platforms, and DevOps tooling.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years proven experience in customer facing role (preferably pre-sales)
- Experience engaging with executive stakeholders, solution architects, and extended program teams
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to varying stakeholder levels
- Knowledge in at least some of these technical areas: Infrastructure Automation - Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt...; Development and Scripting- Ruby, Python, Javascript, PowerShell, Bash...; Unix, Linux or Windows System Administration; Azure, AWS or Google Cloud experience - Knowledge of cloud resources, deployments, etc...; DevOps tools and practices: Git-based version control (GitHub, Gitlab, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket...); CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI...); Containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift...); Public and Private Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware)
