Job Summary
Senior Sales Engineer at Techworks Consulting supports both new sales and account management by designing IT solutions, scoping projects, developing proposals and BOMs, and ensuring technical accuracy throughout the sales process. Responsibilities include creating client proposals and statements of work, presenting technical recommendations to business-focused stakeholders, participating in sales calls and strategy sessions, coordinating with Engineering and Service Delivery to standardize and execute solutions, building vendor relationships (Microsoft, Fortinet, Lenovo, and distributors), managing deal registrations and pricing programs, attending vendor trainings to become a internal SME, and helping improve recurring revenue, project quality, and solution consistency. Key skills: Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization; ability to explain complex technology clearly; strong written and verbal communications; executive-level engagement; cross-team collaboration; MSP experience preferred; pricing, margin, and solution-fit awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Experience scoping technical projects, creating SOWs/BOMs, and developing proposals (preferred)
- MSP experience strongly preferred
- Technical foundation in Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, cybersecurity, and virtualization
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Professional presence with the ability to communicate with executive-level decision makers
- Ability to collaborate across internal teams
- Commercial awareness around pricing, margin, and solution fit (plus)
