Job Summary
Senior Sales Engineer (Pre-sales) at Axon,REMOTE from the United States with up to 50% travel, located in the Central United States area, responsible for mastering Axon technologies, leading technical and business presentations to CIOs and stakeholders, handling RFP/RFI responses, coordinating POC/pilot activities, creating and refining technical documentation, and developing SOWs; will build relationships with partners and customers, represent the product and brand at conferences, and contribute to a fast-paced, evangelistic sales environment focused on public safety. Requires 5+ years in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting, SaaS sales experience, and an Associate degree in engineering/computer science (or equivalent), with travel ability up to 50% and strong communication, technical, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Includes flexibility to work remotely within the US and to travel, with a focus on robust technical-to-business storytelling and solution positioning.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent field), or 5+ years relevant experience
- 5+ years customer facing pre-sales or consulting background
- Experience selling SaaS based solutions
- Experience in End User Compute or Cloud Computing preferred
- Experience in networking, storage, virtualization, or related technologies
- Strong presentation skills and presence
- Proficiency in developing Statements of Work (SOW) or similar documents
- Intermediate knowledge of routing and switching methodologies, telecommunications, and Internet technologies
- Basic knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies
- Network and Telecommunication-specific professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+)
