Job Summary
Senior Sales Engineer (Pre-sales) for Axon in the public safety sector. Remote within the United States (Central region) with up to 50% travel. Responsible for mastering Axon technologies, leading technical presentations to CIOs and other stakeholders, conducting technical conversations with IT and channel-partner leadership, enabling opportunities through 1st-level pre-sales support, coordinating POC/Pilot logistics, crafting and refining technical documentation, and developing SOWs for professional services. Represents the products and brand at events and collaborates with product, engineering, and marketing teams to feedback customer requirements and accelerate sales initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent field) or 5+ years relevant experience
- 5+ years customer facing pre-sales or consulting background
- Experience selling SaaS based solutions
- Experience in End User Compute or Cloud Computing preferred
- Experience in networking, storage, virtualization, or related technologies
- Strong presentation skills and presence, technical acumen
- Basic knowledge of security, IPsec, InfoSec, hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and storage devices
- Ability to work independently with substantial latitude for action and decision making
- Experience developing Statements of Work (SOW) or similar documents
- Intermediate knowledge of routing and switching methodologies, telecommunications, and Internet technologies
- Basic knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies
- Network and Telecommunication-specific professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+
