Job Summary
Lead technical pre-sales by partnering with Account Executives to demonstrate product architecture, address objections, and drive revenue for prospects evaluating Algolia's search platform. Own the full sales cycle from discovery through Proof of Concept and RFP responses, qualifying customer goals with KPIs and delivering consultative solutions that ensure strong technical fit. Act as a trusted advisor to CTOs and engineers, building custom search applications and integrations using Algolia APIs while translating complex technical concepts into clear business value. Serve as an internal advocate for customer needs, collaborating with Product and Engineering to refine technical content and support cross-company initiatives. Transition customers seamlessly to post-sales onboarding with Solution Architects and Customer Success teams.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in Italian and English
- 4+ years experience in a customer-facing technical role (SE, SA, consultant, PM), ideally in the SaaS space
- Previous software development experience in one or more of the following areas: Front End: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Back-End: Java, Ruby, Go, Node, Python, Swift/Objective-C
- Experience with data formats and data transformation
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Superior organisational skills working with multiple customers and have the ability to switch context quickly throughout the day with various competing demands and attention to detail
- Experience at our current stage and beyond ($150-300M+ ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure)
Desired Qualifications
- Additional European languages such as Spanish
- A background in the search industry or e-commerce
- Specific knowledge in frameworks Magento, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools and alike
- Familiarity with emerging concepts in agentic AI systems (e.g., autonomous reasoning, tool use, or multi-agent orchestration)
- Knowledge in Analytics, SEO
