Job Summary
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and support for technical evaluations. You'll partner with the sales team to communicate Datadog's value proposition, own technical engagements during trials, and help close opportunities through technical skill and credibility. The role requires strong communication skills and experience in programming and scripting with various languages. You'll also engage with customers, deliver briefings, and maintain feedback in CRM.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role
- Ability to technically close complex opportunities
- Experience delivering product and technical briefings/presentations
- Maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer input
Desired Qualifications
- Passionate about educating customers on observability
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to articulate business benefits and technical advantages
- Experience in programming/scripting with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, or .NET
