Job Summary
Senior Safety Specialist at Compliance Management International (CMI) driving the highest safety standards on data center construction projects. Lead safety programs, mentor staff, conduct on-site safety observations, lead pre-task planning and JSAs, manage permit processes, facilitate site orientations and toolbox talks, and generate safety reports to support project management. Requires 5+ years of construction safety oversight for an Owner, strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30-Hour certification, and relevant BCSP credentials; degree in Occupational Health & Safety; excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to operate in high-demand, safety-critical environments. Flexibility for overtime and travel as required; residence within commuting distance in Mesa, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of direct construction safety oversight representing an Owner
- Data center and/or mission critical facility safety oversight experience
- Strong working knowledge of electrical safety
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Safety Standards and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and mitigate risks
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at all organizational levels
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for training and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar safety management software
- Education in Occupational Health & Safety (degree)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (must be obtained within the last 5 years)
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
Desired Qualifications

- BCSP credentials such as STS-C, CHST, or CSP
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- OSHA 510 or 500 certification preferred
