Job Summary
Implement the systematic approach to training by developing, delivering, and maintaining technical and safety curriculum for renewable energy assets. Conduct classroom and on-the-job training at Clearway sites to instruct field technicians on component theory, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting best practices. Collaborate with subject matter experts to research course content aligned with technician job qualification standards and design skills enhancement strategies. Support site safety needs including audits and incident investigations while providing feedback for program improvements. Travel approximately 70% of the time to administer training across wind, solar, and battery storage locations.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of practical experience in electrical generation, including renewable energy
- Education or technical field training/experience related to renewable energy preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent technical knowledge is required (trade school, instructor certification, military training, journeyman training)
- Previous experience with technical training development and delivery
- Extensive knowledge of multiple renewable energy platforms and components
- Ability to develop and conduct classroom training and engage the adult learner with different styles of learning
- Must have strong communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with all levels of field technicians, supervisors, and management
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Ability to work in a mechanical environment
- A basic knowledge and understanding of OSHA, safety program concepts, standards, and codes
- Ability to positively interact with regulatory agencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple critical priorities
- Ability to prioritize tasks within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
- Clearway will not sponsor non-immigrant visas for this position (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred candidate location is the east region (east of the Mississippi River) and would be co-located at one of our sites
- This hybrid position will preferably be based east of the Mississippi River, co-located at one of our sites
- Education or technical field training/experience related to renewable energy preferred
