Job Summary
Senior Safety Specialist responsible for advancing safety strategy on the plant floor, acting as a technical resource on OSHA General Industry regulations (LOTO, respirators, confined spaces), leading critical safety programs (ERT, chemical response, industrial hygiene), mentoring junior staff, and partnering with Operations leadership to drive high-impact safety initiatives and risk mitigation. The role emphasizes strategic influence, organizational leadership of safety committees, field engagement for program improvements, and developing scalable safety systems while ensuring timely delivery of safety projects and compliance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Ergonomics or related field highly preferred
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or CIH highly desirable
- 5+ years of progressive responsibility in safety, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
