Job Summary
Senior Safety Professional (Project Hire/Internal Assignment) for Disney Experiences, providing key technical safety support across resort construction projects. Partners with design teams to deliver risk mitigation methods during the design cycle, investigates and proposes safety solutions aligned with regulatory compliance, reviews contractor submittals and shop drawings for accuracy, ensures adherence to federal/state/local safety standards (including FED/CAL OSHA), participates in inspections and safety meetings, and supports field-directed changes through hazard analyses and design input to maintain safety by design across project phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in General Construction, Construction Project Management, Construction Safety, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related.
- 5+ years of experience in General Construction, Construction Safety, Industrial Safety and health, Safety Engineering, or similar
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and codes
- Experience in project design review with Safety by Design concept
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory, industry standards, and best practices in safety
- Ability to review design drawings/packages and hazard analyses
- Self-driven and resourceful with problem-solving abilities
- Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations
- OSHA 30 (Construction) or higher certification
- CHST, CSP, or equivalent safety certification
- Advanced degree or 10+ years of experience (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field (Education field)
- Knowledge of FED and CAL OSHA regulations
