Job Summary
Drive the Clark safety culture on a project by overseeing the safety of employees, trade partners, and the general public. Enforce corporate and project-specific safety programs alongside federal, state, and local standards while managing and mentoring staff. Develop, coordinate, and implement overall project safety programs, including third-party reviews and OSHA compliance, to mitigate hazards during construction planning. Create safety education for jobsite personnel and align the team to deliver a safe workplace. Proactively identify exposures, manage workers' compensation claims, and recruit top industry talent to join the Clark team.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of relevant construction safety experience
- undergraduate degree in safety and health (or related discipline)
- demonstrated construction safety and trade experience
- Ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners
- Ability to manage large scale and high profile projects
- Proof of training and experience in managing crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safety
- Exposure to preconstruction efforts
- Ability to communicate effectively with, persuade, and gain buy-in from a broad range of stakeholders from a new craft worker to senior executive leader
- Strength in managing multiple competing priorities in a deadline driven environment
- Agile, energetic, data driven approach to achieving individual and organizational objectives while balancing short term and long term goals

- Ability to communicate effectively
- visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work
- comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment
- comfortable in all kinds of weather
- comfortable with moderate to loud noise levels
- flexibility to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines
- ability to monitor and respond to communications (phone calls, emails, text messages) as required to address these situations effectively
- pre-employment drug fitness for duty screening
- currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Hour CHST or CSP SMS certifications
- 1st Aid/CPR training
