Job Summary
Senior Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Business Partner role coordinating, developing, implementing, and maintaining SHE policies, procedures, and programs for regulatory compliance across manufacturing, facilities, R&D, and supply chain. Lead cross-functional projects, conduct campus-wide inspections and audits, mentor colleagues, and provide technical expertise to interpret laws and Roche standards. Focus on improving safety culture and environmental stewardship through programs such as Hazardous and Medical Waste, Industrial Wastewater, Compressed Gases, TSCA/FIFRA, and Refrigerant Management; drive opportunities for program improvements and track outcomes. Strong emphasis on collaboration, training material development, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders to support regulatory compliance and organizational safety. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of SHE experience, plus certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, PE, CHMM) preferred and relocation benefits not available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in physical science, life science, environmental sciences, engineering, safety, industrial hygiene, or other relevant field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in industries such as diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or related sectors with demonstrated expertise in SHE programs.
- Proven ability to influence opinions and drive change across multiple business functions and units without direct authority, with strong knowledge and application of relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific, technical, and regulatory information to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective training materials while building and maintaining smooth, cooperative working relationships across multiple departments and business units.
