Job Summary
Lead projects for clients across the UK nuclear industry, managing new builds, operating facilities, decommissioning, and waste management. Produce safety assessments for nuclear facilities while maintaining a detailed understanding of UK regulatory requirements and international standards. Take an active role in business development by building client relationships and supporting bids for large and small projects. Mentor junior engineers and support external programs, including initiatives led by institutions, undergraduate projects, and STEM activities in schools.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience at a senior level in the production of safety assessments for nuclear facilities
- A detailed understanding of UK regulatory requirements and international standards and guidance, particularly relating to Nuclear Safety Assessment
- Degree (or relevant work experience) in any of the following disciplines, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics or Mathematics, etc.

- Experience in Waste and Decommissioning
- Experience in Licensing and Regulation
- Experience in Pressurised Water Reactors
- Experience in Internal and External Hazards Assessment
- Experience in business development, building and maintaining relationships with clients and supporting bids for large and small projects and frameworks
- Experience in mentoring and supporting Juniors
- Experience in involvement in initiatives led by institutions or other relevant bodies
- Experience in sponsoring undergraduate projects
- Experience in supporting STEM activities in schools
- Experience in Annual Risk and Safety Forum
