Job Summary
Senior Site Safety and Health Manager on a government-contractor construction program, serving as the on-site primary safety contact responsible for day-to-day safety operations, development and execution of the Site Safety and Health Plan, training personnel, tracking safety activities, coordinating with internal/external stakeholders, staffing the contract, and overseeing subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety policies. Demonstrates leadership within the site management team, communicates with onsite client personnel, and provides strategic safety recommendations. Requires extensive experience in construction safety, federal programs, and proficiency with MS Office 365 and SharePoint; emphasizes US citizenship and ability to obtain facility access clearance, plus a background in USACE/NAVFAC-related safety and quality control practices.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Able to pass standard facility access background investigation
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of twenty (20) years’ experience in this role
- At least ten (10) years of experience in Site Safety and Health Manager or higher for projects >$25 million
- At least ten (10) years of project management experience for Federal government clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, SharePoint)
- Current USACE or NAVFAC CQM Certification
- OHSA 30 Certification
- Ability to clearly communicate with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently
- Detail oriented and organized
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Expertise in execution of large complex construction projects
