Job Summary
Develop back-end components and mobile APIs using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL while upgrading, stabilizing, and optimizing the existing codebase. Create back-end models, controllers, and API endpoints for front-end developers, then identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs to improve stability and scalability. Build to scale with extensive experience in scheduled and event-driven jobs, maintaining APIs and ensuring clean, organized, functional code. Required Qualifications
- 10+ Years of Full-Time Work Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with test-driven development in addition to regression and feature testing
- MVC Experience
- GitHub
- Security with Devise
- ActiveRecord
Desired Qualifications
- Rails stabilization and optimization
- Server Ops (direct with AWS or via managed service)
- Documentation with Postman
- PostgreSQL query and schema optimization - content and performance DBA
- Frontend competence - HTML, CSS, JS - enough to maintain and update
