Job Summary
Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to lead design and delivery of high-impact disputes intake experiences across member-facing and internal workflows. Build and evolve frontend applications and backend services/APIs using Ruby on Rails (or comparable frameworks) with modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript). Collaborate with product, design, operations, and partner teams to define requirements, shape roadmaps, and deliver scalable, reliable solutions. Drive system design to improve reliability and observability, modernize intake experiences, reduce manual work, and enable smarter, context-aware workflows. Mentor engineers, raise the bar on code quality and engineering practices, and lead projects end-to-end from technical design through rollout and ongoing support. Seniority is reflected by 5+ years of production software experience, strong full-stack capabilities, leadership in complex projects, and a focus on maintainable, well-tested code.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing software in a production environment at scale
- Strong full-stack experience building user-facing applications and backend services
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable full-stack frameworks
- Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript
- Deep understanding of architectural patterns for large-scale web applications (maintainability, performance, reliability)
- Ability to lead complex projects, influence technical direction, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego working style
- Commitment to maintainable, well-tested code and high engineering quality
- Nice to have: experience with AI/ML-powered systems, especially models/workflows that support chat/voice/conversational experiences
- Curiosity for ambiguous, high-impact problems and improving member and team efficiency
- Desire to drive engineering culture within the team and organization
