Job Summary
Senior Ruby Developer responsible for designing, estimating, and implementing medium/high complexity software solutions, collaborating across stakeholders, exploring AI-driven enhancements to accelerate the SDLC, promoting DevOps practices, reviewing peers' work, and continuously applying new technologies. Requires strong Ruby/Rails/RSpec skills, understanding of SOLID and MVVM, experience with AWS and related tooling, familiarity with CI/CD, testing/mocking, REST/JSON protocols, and agile methodologies; effective communicator with English proficiency; opportunity to contribute to global tech communities and a hybrid work setup in Cali, Colombia.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Strong understanding of OOP and functional paradigms
- Experience with Ruby, Rails, Rspec
- Nice to have: Ruby 3.0, Pry, Rubocop, Bundler, Rake, Background Jobs, observability tools, AI in SDLC
- Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency
