Job Summary
Operate cabbed rock drills safely and efficiently to hit production targets in tough ground conditions, including mine-style production drilling. Monitor ground conditions to adjust technique and reduce equipment wear, while performing daily inspections and basic maintenance. Adhere to MSHA safety policies and maintain clean documentation. This role supports mining operations in Central Utah, Southern Nevada, and Southern Utah with day/night shifts and overtime. You'll work with a professional team focused on safety, production, and camaraderie.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 or more years of drilling experience (senior-level)
- Experienced in Sandvik Di650 Leapord DTH Rigs or similar
- Experienced in Sandvik DP1500i Top Hammer Rigs or similar
- Ability to meet strong production expectations (ex: high footage/hour targets)
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to/from job sites
- MSHA 5000-23 Experienced Miner (preferred/current)
- Strong safety mindset
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying and remote conditions
