Job Summary
Design and build the autonomous software powering the Bonsai Intelligence fleet across agricultural and complex network environments. Write well documented and tested production C++, Python, and Rust software in a ROS2 environment while reviewing code for correctness and cohesion. Support, debug, and problem solve across a growing global fleet of autonomous tractors and precision ag equipment using data to drive development decisions. Tackle complex engineering problems with a mindset focused on safety, reliability, and extensibility alongside an excellent robotics team.
Required Qualifications
- 4 or more years of relevant experience across applied robotics and software engineering positions
- BS, MS, or PhD in related field
- Experience shipping real production robots to real customers
- Familiarity with C++ and ROS2 software development best practices, including testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience debugging problems outside of your area of expertise and across the hardware / software boundary
- Comfort working in a Linux environment
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in solving path planning and optimization problems in low latency constrained compute environments
- Experience developing with Rust in a production environment
