Job Summary
Lead transportation engineering projects for Florida clients by performing roadway design, preparing proposals, and managing project teams within budget and schedule. Provide technical guidance, review shop drawings, and develop preliminary details using Open Road Designer and MicroStation from conception to final deliverables. Pursue and win projects with FDOT District Four and Six while maintaining strong client relationships and mentoring junior engineers. Requires a valid Florida PE, 10+ years of FDOT experience, and proficiency in CAD and AASHTO standards.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time employment
- At least 10 years' experience in FDOT highway projects
- Valid Florida State PE
- Registered PE in the State of Florida
- Minimum of 10 years' FDOT Experience and Highway specific projects experience
- A minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Highway/Transportation Design from an ABET accredited college or university
- Experience in pursuing and managing multi-discipline projects, including projects with bridge replacement, new bridge alignment, or bridge rehabilitation
- Client Relationships with FDOT District Four and FDOT District Six
- Proficient in MicroStation and Bentley Open Road Designer
- Familiarity with AASHTO
- Ability to work in a team environment with a professional sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client needs
- A strong work ethic with the ability to mentor junior engineers
- Detail oriented with good oral and written communications skills and a fluency in English
- Knowledge of MicroStation's and Bentley Open Road Designer
- Ability to work in a team environment on related projects
- Familiarity with AASHTO
