Job Summary
Senior Roadway Design Engineer in the Alexandria, VA area responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordinating detailed phases of highway/roadway design projects. Duties include preliminary engineering design and reviews of design/drafting by junior engineers, preparing cost and man-hour estimates and project budgets, overseeing final plans and reports, coordinating with other engineers and professionals, planning construction services on projects of moderate scope, and potentially assisting in project management. Requires a B.S. or M.S. in Engineering with 6–10 years (Bachelor’s) or 4–8 years (Master’s); a PE license in VA, MD, and/or DC is required, with DOT/local municipality design experience in VA/MD/DC strongly preferred.
