Senior Risk Control Consultant - Texas (Waco or College Station)

Job Summary
Conduct risk assessments and surveys for the Commercial Underwriting Department, preparing detailed reports and providing expert guidance to policyholders and agents. Identify loss exposures, analyze hazards and controls, and recommend strategies to reduce claim frequency and severity. Partner with stakeholders to develop customized safety and training programs, including accident investigations, industrial hygiene surveys, and supervisory training sessions. Maintain strong relationships with agency personnel and key stakeholders across the Waco, Temple, and College Station areas while traveling as needed. Submit recommendations for account improvement conforming to company and consensus standards, ensuring report quality, productivity, and timeliness goals are met.
Required Qualifications
- Ten years experience in risk control with a multi-line insurance company
- A college degree from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, Science or other acceptable curriculum or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record to operate a corporate vehicle
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Must have a good working knowledge of all applicable codes and standards
- Must be proficient in the handling of basic industrial hygiene monitoring equipment, specifically dosimeters
- Must display superior written and verbal communication skills when working with policy holders, prospects, agents, and company personnel
- Have strong PC skills
- Current Acuity Risk Control Consultants must maintain above average productivity, quality, and timeliness for at least the past two years
- Must demonstrate leadership qualities in the majority of the following areas: the ability to train other risk control consultants, the initiative to voluntarily present educational topics at department meetings, the aptitude and ability to contribute constructive suggestions and meaningful feedback to improve efficiency, the continual display of support for company decisions and directives, the meaningful participation in customer focus teams
Desired Qualifications
- CSP, ALCM, CFPS or similar professional designations are preferred
