Job Summary
Develop risk-based internal audit plans and execute procedures within defined scope, timeframe, and budget. Collaborate with stakeholders to align audit activities with client goals, while providing guidance on methodologies and best practices to junior consultants. Contribute to risk assessments to identify potential areas of risk and prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, root causes, and recommendations. Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across health, not-for-profit, corporate, and government sectors. Participate in planning and scoping of projects to ensure successful delivery of high-quality audit products. Requires proven experience in internal audit, risk management, and governance, with an Accounting degree or financial background. Offers hybrid work flexibility, two days in-office in Bendigo, and travel to client premises.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in internal audit, risk management, process improvement and governance practices
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with individuals across all levels of an organisation
- Extensive experience writing reports, observations and communicating results & recommendations to varied audiences
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients and key stakeholders
- Commitment to enhancing team capabilities through the provision of guidance, support and advice
- Right to work and live in Australia
