Job Summary
Senior Risk Analyst needed to support Eightcap’s risk infrastructure by transforming complex market data and trading book functions into high-performance, automated mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include improving risk processes with a focus on hedging to enhance profitability, extracting and interpreting historical trading data and risk metrics for investigative purposes, acting as an expert of core trading tech (MT4/MT5) and collaborating with liquidity providers (e.g., OneZero, Integral) to optimize processes, guiding cross-departmental risk initiatives, and applying SQL and quantitative methods (with Python or R) to data analysis and machine learning workflows. The role emphasizes mentorship and interaction with global staff, and it is performed in a four-day in-office model in Melbourne, Australia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or R
- Experience with MT4/MT5 platform administration
- Experience in risk management and hedging
- Ability to prepare reports and brief Head of Risk on evolving scenarios
- Experience collaborating with liquidity providers and third-party tech (OneZero or Integral)
