Job Summary

Design advanced RF front ends and transceivers for next-generation defense platforms, including phased arrays and high-speed circuits. Master RF components like matching networks, filters, LNAs, and synthesizers while performing schematic capture and PCB layout. Utilize best practices to minimize EMI/RFI issues and validate prototypes using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers. Contribute to system integration, analyze in-the-field operational data to debug performance, and support embedded software development. Requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of RF design experience, and familiarity with AWR MWO, Keysight ADS, and Altium Designer. This role leads projects from conception to manufacturing within Mach Industries' Avionics & Electrical Engineering team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF design and development
  • Experience with basic RF concepts such as impedance matching, smith charts, power handling metrics (IP3, IMD, Harmonic Distortion, Phase Noise), microwave network analysis
  • Familiarity with one or more of the mainstream RF circuit simulation tools: AWR MWO, Keysight ADS, Genesys
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer and Matlab

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with antenna concepts
  • Familiarity with Radar concepts and design
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong design background with a long history of problem solving and taking on new challenges
