Senior RF Engineer II

Job Summary
Senior RF Engineer II to design and develop RF hardware for satellites/space systems. Responsible for RF circuits and systems across development stages, board-level schematic design and PCB layout of RF circuits, system-level concepts such as link budgets and modulation schemes, and integration with phased array components (RF front-ends, frequency converters, synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased array antennas). Tasks include defining requirements, part selection, detailed design, simulations, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support. Will present engineering design review materials to customers and executives, and participate in proposal-writing. Requires BS/MS in EE and 6+ years of RF electronics experience; strong communication skills; proficiency with CST/ADS and Altium; hands-on lab experience with VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. Preference for MATLAB, aerospace electronics experience, EMI/EMC, antenna design, reliability analysis, and worst-case analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- 6+ years of industry experience in RF electronics design, analysis, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience with CST and ADS simulation tools and EDA tools such as Altium
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments (vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: MATLAB or other programming languages; aerospace electronics design experience; EMI/EMC knowledge; antenna design; reliability analysis; worst-case circuit analysis
