Job Summary
Adapt to diverse engagement types across patient access, mid-cycle, and back-end functions, taking on operational gaps, governance structures, or specific improvement initiatives as client needs dictate. Serve as the trusted point of contact for client stakeholders, identifying cross-departmental gaps and navigating complex organizational relationships to resolve barriers and keep initiatives on track. Lead change management during system transitions and pull in specialized internal resources when required, while rapidly building working knowledge in unfamiliar revenue cycle areas. Hand off cleanly at engagement conclusion, leaving documented governance and stable operating structures behind. Requires 8 to 10 years in revenue cycle operations with a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field
- 8 to 10 years in revenue cycle operations
- Experience spanning at least two of: patient access, mid-cycle/coding, back-end billing and denials
Desired Qualifications
- MBA
- Demonstrated adaptability across engagement types rather than deep specialization in a single function
- Comfortable operating without a fixed playbook, and comfortable being handed ambiguous scope and figuring out what the client needs
- Strong organizational navigation skills: able to identify who really owns a decision, build relationships across departments, and keep momentum without formal authority
- Able to build working knowledge in unfamiliar revenue cycle areas quickly, rather than needing full mastery of every domain going in
- Policy writing, governance design, or change management experience
- Prior experience in an interim, embedded, or client-side leadership capacity
