Job Summary
Senior Retail Operations Manager oversees merchandise/food operations, budget analytics, revenue generation, inventory management, procurement, guest service, safety, and facility management for assigned departments at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance; leads and inspires the retail operations team, provides oversight in interviewing, hiring, training, development, and performance management; manages multi-million-dollar procurement and contract analysis, forecasts labor, and drives menu development and revenue goals; ensures compliance with food, beverage, alcohol and health safety standards, and develops safety programs; acts as duty manager and project manager for large, complex initiatives; requires ability to manage inventory systems and POS software, collaborate with managers, and communicate effectively; education and certifications include a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and ServeSafe Manager certification within 90 days.
