Job Summary
Senior Restaurant Manager responsible for the daily operations of Babel and Ou Bakkery, delivering 5-star service, driving SOP compliance, managing labour costs, inventory, and waste, developing staff and future managers, enhancing wine and product knowledge, and ensuring accurate administration, reporting, and guest satisfaction as part of the senior leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ management experience within premium restaurants, hotels, lodges, or wine estates
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
- Strong experience in restaurant operations and staff management
- Good understanding of labour control, stock control, and cost management
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Willing and able to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
