Job Summary
Senior Residential Home Manager for the Dual Diagnosis Program in Birmingham, AL, overseeing an 8-bed residential home serving individuals with IDD, some dually diagnosed with MI. Responsible for development and implementation of goals and operational plans, program organization to align with agency policies, timely documentation for licensing/contract standards, clinical and administrative quality assurance, recruiting and supervising personnel, managing physical and fiscal assets, and day-to-day client care. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health service field (or three years in a mental health residential setting) and 1–2 years of management experience; licensure or certification preferred; must complete required background checks and trainings. The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, regulatory compliance, and ensuring a safe, compliant, and supportive environment in accordance with applicable laws and the agency’s philosophy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a mental health service related field
- Two years’ experience in a direct service area
- Alternatively, three years’ experience in a mental health illness residential setting
- One to two years’ management experience
- Professional Licensure or Certification preferred
- Must be able to complete required background checks and required training
