Job Summary
Senior Residential Child Care Worker leading a shift team in children’s residential homes across East Lancashire. Responsibilities include championing the care, safety and development of children with complex needs; supporting and implementing care plans, education plans, and emotional wellbeing strategies; mentoring and guiding staff to maintain high standards of practice; contributing to safeguarding, inspections, and care planning processes; and working a rota that includes days, evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts.
Required Qualifications
- QCF Level 4 or NVQ Level 3/4 (or equivalent)
- 3 years’ experience in children’s social care or residential settings
- Be confident leading shifts and supervising staff as a Team Leader
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children’s legislation
- Willingness to work a rota including days, evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts
