Job Summary
Senior Residential Accountant responsible for managing a portfolio of multi-family properties, ensuring timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements, month-end close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, reporting packages), and balance sheet integrity. Primary duties include reviewing property-level financial statements, supervising outsourcing partners, supporting audits, assisting with annual budgets, identifying automation opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Requires strong property accounting expertise, GAAP knowledge, and experience with real estate accounting and Yardi.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university
- Real estate accounting experience strongly desired
- Experience with Yardi is highly desired
- Experience in cash management, forecasting and planning
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
