Job Summary
The Senior Resident Engineer will oversee daily construction activities and resident engineering inspection responsibilities, conduct technical reviews of construction plans and specifications, ensure staff safety and regulatory compliance, monitor contractor performance and schedule adherence, administer the contractor payment process, and maintain effective communication with various stakeholders. Candidates must possess a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, and have at least 15 years of progressive experience in related work, preferably in the northern New Jersey/NYC area. Familiarity with geotechnical design programs and standards is required, along with advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, and excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of experience in Construction Contract Administration
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification
- Familiarity with geotechnical programs for design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer registration in State of New Jersey
