Job Summary
The Senior Resident Engineer/Construction Manager will manage all aspects of construction projects, conduct constructability reviews, and coordinate with various stakeholders during pre-construction and construction phases. Responsibilities include monitoring project progress, managing risks, overseeing quality control, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, PE registration, a minimum of 7 years experience, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of CO or the ability to obtain it within 6 months
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant construction experience
- A demonstrated ability to read and completely understand contract documents
- Deep understanding of construction practices, building codes, and project delivery methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Proven experience in construction management, preferably with a focus on owner representation
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred
- Experience working on city, county and or state construction projects
- CDOT construction experience
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Highways; Rail; Aviation; Water; Mining
