Job Summary
Senior Resettlement Specialist leads, coordinates, and oversees resettlement and land acquisition activities, ensuring compliance with national laws and donor safeguards, while minimizing social impacts and supporting affected communities through planning, implementation, and monitoring of resettlement programs. Responsibilities include leading RAP preparation/implementation in line with World Bank ESF, conducting social impact assessments to identify project-affected people and risks, developing strategies for land acquisition, compensation, livelihood restoration, and community engagement; GBV risk mitigation and health/safety issues; monitoring and reporting on resettlement progress including GRM and stakeholder consultations. The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, 10+ years of experience with WB or development partner-funded projects, and senior-level expertise in social safeguards and resettlement, with a strong emphasis on equity and inclusion across a global infrastructure consultancy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Social Science or a relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience
- 5 years of similar experience in social screening, preparation and implementation of Resettlement Action Plan, GBV, Community and Workers Health and Safety
- Experience in World Bank or other development partner-funded projects is essential
