Job Summary
Senior Reservoir Engineer to lead subsurface evaluations and development planning across Flywheel’s operated assets, owning type curve creation, reserves modeling, undeveloped inventory management, technical workflows, and economic evaluations. Collaborate with geology, drilling & completions, production operations, and finance to optimize value and ensure capital discipline. Responsibilities include building and maintaining well schedules, capital forecasts, and production outlooks; identifying optimization opportunities and appraisal strategies to increase reserves and production; establishing reservoir and well surveillance practices; analyzing drilling, completion, and production performance; improving cross-functional workflows connecting planning, execution, and performance tracking; supporting accurate reserves bookings with high-quality technical inputs; monitoring performance against production, capital, schedule, and economic targets and leading corrective actions. Qualifications emphasize attention to detail, clear communication, growth mindset, autonomy with teamwork, and a commitment to safety and regulatory/ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Petroleum Engineering or other relevant engineering fields
- 7+ years of reservoir engineering experience
- experience with asset-team environments
- experience with budgets, forecasts, and development planning
- experience with data visualization software (Power BI and Spotfire preferred)
- experience with Economic Modelling software (Aries preferred)
- experience with Rate Transient Analysis (Whitson preferred) and other unconventional reservoir evaluation and surveillance techniques
