(Senior) Researcher (f/m/d) - Foundation and World Models on Structured Business Data

Job Summary
Pioneer technical advances to foundation models on structured data and world models for business problems; collaborate with academic partners to develop benchmarks and architectures, publish results at top-tier conferences, and contribute to open-source resources. Work with the SAP-RPT-1 relational pre-trained transformer, supervise PhD students during summer internships or academic collaborations, translate applied research breakthroughs into publications, and participate in SAP's AI organization with a focus on integrating AI into enterprise applications.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, physics, mathematics or other relevant disciplines
- Academic background in Foundation Models / Machine Learning on large scale structured data, World Models
- Substantial record of related publications at top tier scientific conferences
- Extensive research experience with machine learning on structured data
- Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Ideally experience with graph technologies and knowledge graphs in ERP domain
