Job Summary
Lead the analysis and publication of high-quality research outputs from the SCI-MT Trial; design, develop and disseminate content for Physiotherapy Exercises (PTX); contribute to grant applications and research proposals; translate findings for clinical practice and policy; supervise and mentor early- and mid-career researchers; contribute to research leadership and governance; build collaborations with academic, clinical, and community stakeholders; role requires a Registered physiotherapist with a PhD in physiotherapy, spinal cord injury, or related field, and a strong record in SCI research. The role is part-time (0.4 FTE), fixed term until 31 December 2026, based in St Leonards, NSW, Australia, with pro-rata base salary of AUD 156,103 (17% superannuation noted) as the full-time equivalent stated, sponsorship not available, and visa/work rights in Australia required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered physiotherapist (or eligible for registration in NSW)
- PhD in physiotherapy, spinal cord injury, or a closely related field
- Familiarity with online exercise platforms such as Physiotherapy Exercises (PTX)
- Demonstrated experience in research relating to spinal cord injury and physiotherapy
- Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and research impact
- Experience working with clinical or trial datasets, including descriptive analyses
- Familiarity with or interest in online exercise resources
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience supervising or mentoring students or junior researchers
- Sponsorship / work rights for Australia
