Senior Research Fellow / Principal Research Fellow

Lead and design rigorous clinical research in integrative health, including randomised controlled trials; supervise HDR students and contribute to training across projects. Establish and deliver a defined research stream within the NICM Health Research Institute with a translational focus, driving clinical and translational activity across priority areas such as cardiometabolic health, women’s reproductive health, cancer care, dementia and mental health. Secure external research funding through grants and partnerships with government, industry, not-for-profit and community stakeholders. Produce high-quality peer‐reviewed publications and reports, and contribute to governance, external engagement, and stakeholder relationships to enhance impact. This is a 3-year fixed-term appointment at Westmead campus, with appointment at Academic Level C or D determined by experience, and a 0.6 FTE (21 hours/week) workload. A PhD is required; the role emphasizes leadership of research streams, collaboration, mentorship of HDR students, and translation of research into practical healthcare applications.
