Job Summary
Senior Research Associate will support laboratory research activities towards development of novel technologies enabling next generation genomic medicines. Responsibilities include performing in vivo and in vitro LNP experiments using flow cytometry, mammalian cell culture, mouse and NHP tissue processing, ELISAs, reporter assays, transfection, and protein binding assays; developing new in vitro bio-assays; documenting results; and working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced lab environment in Cambridge, MA.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. or B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with 3+ years (M.S.) or 5+ years(B.S.) of relevant experience
- Previous experience with immune cell isolation and flow cytometry characterization is required
- Comfort with handling and processing NHP & Mouse tissue samples
- Strong primary and cell line culture experience, including experience executing protocols, troubleshooting assays, and carrying out literature searches for method evaluation and refinement
- Knowledge of immunology, experience working with LNPs, and familiarity with performing BLI on octet instruments is a plus
- Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally with highly skilled teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and technical environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Motivated, curious, and comfortable working with highly technical projects and personnel
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information in a clear and thorough manner
- Comfortable delivering against challenging commitments
