Job Summary
Senior Research Associate in Protein Biotherapeutics responsible for designing, expressing, purifying, and characterising recombinant proteins and antibody-based molecules; performing purification using chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, SEC); conducting biophysical/biochemical characterization (SPR, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, HPLC, DLS, thermal stability); designing SPR experiments to evaluate binding kinetics and epitopes; supporting protein engineering campaigns including mutagenesis and construct design; contributing to computational or structure-guided design; maintaining lab instruments and day-to-day operations; accurate documentation, data analysis, and internal reporting; establishing and improving protocols; participating in scientific discussions, data reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- BSc
- MSc or equivalent experience (≥3 yrs) in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related field
- Hands-on experience with SPR platforms (e.g. Biacore)
- Strong background in protein purification and analytical characterization
- Knowledge of protein engineering principles and molecular biology techniques
- Experience with recombinant protein expression in mammalian systems
- Familiarity with protein design tools, structural biology, or in silico analysis is advantageous
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Proactive and flexible mindset
- Strong communication skills and collaboration in team environments
