Job Summary
Senior/Principal Research Associate to join the Platform Biology team and drive AI RNA therapeutics discovery by planning and executing genome engineering experiments for target validation, executing barcoded pooled screening assays (NGS library prep), and developing novel biochemical, cellular and functional assays. Maintain/transfect mammalian cell lines; perform molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, cloning); document experiments and SOPs in an ELN; present findings to cross-functional teams. Requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in Biology-related field with 2-4+ years of industrial biopharma/biotech experience and gene editing expertise. Preferred: lentivirus generation, cell line engineering, flow cytometry, RNA editing or RNA oligonucleotides. On-site at Cambridge, MA; collaboration across teams and a fast-paced technical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biochemistry or a related field with 2-4+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience.
- Gene editing experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of molecular and cell biology.
- Experience growing, maintaining and transfecting mammalian cell lines.
- Experienced in design and execution of molecular and cellular assays.
