Job Summary
Conduct zebrafish line creation, embryo injections, and genomics to study adult stem cell biology, brain cancer stem cells, and neural regeneration. Manage genetic tool development and perform common molecular biology techniques including staining and cloning. Lead grant writing efforts and supervise trainees. Requires PhD or Master's degree with extensive zebrafish experience and R proficiency for genomic data. Located at OHSU Department of Pediatrics in Portland, OR.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience
- Master's Degree in relevant field AND 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 9 years of relevant experience
- Experience using model organisms to study cell and developmental biology
- Experience with common molecule staining and cloning techniques
Desired Qualifications
- PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, or genetics
- Zebrafish and related husbandry
- Ability to use R to manipulate next generation genomic data
- Familiarity with Linux
